What you can expect

We are the perfect blend of luxury and local.

We keep the groups small so we can give you the personal attention and luxury experience you deserve. The group size is a max of 10 travellers.

You will have the best experience if you are walking and exploring the cities that we visit. With traffic, especially in Bangkok, it is much more efficient to take the local trains, subways and sometimes an exhilarating TukTuk ride as opposed to a taxi or van. Often we will have lunch at a food stall or local market, have a street snack or stop for a refreshment and people watch for a bit.

We ensure you have the best guides when we tour the famous landmarks, such as the Grand Palace and Ayutthaya.

Our days wrap up at the hotel, in luxury and relaxation before we head out as a group for an always delicious evening meal.

The Dining Experiences

A wonderful breakfast is included at our hotels. This is the perfect way to set us up for the day as we head out to explore Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Our lunches are often at small local eateries, stalls, or street food.

We want you to experience the best food that Thailand has to offer and often that means the small family run restaurant.

Our evening meals are more refined and we search out restaurants that give you a unique, yet delicious experience.

“Heidi loves to plan and research travel and I don’t! Because of her passion for travel, it’s easy to travel with her. It made my trip so enjoyable not having to fret all the little details.”
– Eleanor S.

Our Excursions

Many of our guests are first time travellers to Asia so we ensure we hit the highlights of our destinations, but also encourage you to follow us along when we explore the back alleys and local neighbourhoods and markets.

This is where you will meet the locals and make the connection to the culture that will satisfy your wanderlust.

While in Bangkok you can expect to visit:

The Grand Palace

Wat Arun

Wat Pho, the home of the Reclining Buddha

Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam

Local Markets

Asiatique

Jim Thompson House

While in Chiang Mai you can expect to visit:

“Your order of events was genius.”

Saturday January 11th

Check in to the incredible Sukhothai Hotel. Enjoy their famous Chocolate Buffet and lunch. We will chill for a couple of hours and check out a fab roof top bar for a view of the city then enjoy dinner nearby.

Sunday January 12th

All day excursion to Ayutthaya. This magnificent site is the original site of the capital of Siam. The ruins are stunning and the stories shared by our guide Chatchai are wonderful. That evening we relax at the hotel and enjoy a group dinner.

Monday January 13th

Today you can relax and enjoy the ambiance of the hotel and pool, enjoy a massage. Enjoy a light lunch, as we want to save room for our food tour! We will leave the hotel around 2:30 to head to China Town where we will participate in a private food tour lead by Nutt a local and a chef. His heritage is part Thai and part Chinese so he brings an interesting take on the food in Bangkok. A fun and satisfying evening tour.

Tuesday January 14th

Our guide Chatchai will escort us to see the highlights of Bangkok’s temples today. We will visit Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the reclining Buddha, and of course the stunning Grand Palace. We will have lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

This evening we will head by local boat along the Chao Phraya river to Asiatique and enjoy dinner and do some shopping and experience a TukTuk ride back to the hotel!

Wednesday January 15th

This morning we are going to check out the Or Tor Kor market. Voted one of the worlds best fresh markets. It is lovely and clean and has yummy food stalls too! We will find a delicious lunch along our route today. We will check out the Flower Market and Jim Thompson House museum.

We will head back to the hotel to enjoy some down time before we have a sumptuous final dinner in Bangkok at Celadon.

Thursday January 16th

Fly to Chiang Mai. Check in to our lovely hotel in the old town. Enjoy lunch before our guide meets us in the afternoon to take us on a city and temple tour with it ending on a beautiful mountain top, listening to the monks chanting and watching the sun set over the city.

Dinner

Friday January 17th

A fun day today as we head out of town to The Farm Cooking School. We meet up with our guide and have a tour of a local market where we learn about the ingredients common to Thai cooking. Then make the short trip to the farm where we prepare and enjoy many amazing Thai dishes.

The evening is yours to explore the old city. Dinner if your hungry 🙂

Saturday January 18th

It is Elephant Day!

A highlight of our time in Chiang Mai is always this day. Patara Elephant Farm is a wonderful place that raises, cares for, and breeds elephants in conjunction with the university in Chiang Mai. We are picked up at our hotel and transported to Patara. When we arrive we are greeted by a few beautiful elephants. We learn about Patara, choose our elephant friendly shirt and then are assigned an elephant for the day. We are taught how to care for them, we hike through the jungle to the river where we have lunch and the opportunity to swim with the elephants if you choose to. For anyone who does not wish to hike to the river, transportation down to the river can be arranged.

This evening we revel in the experiences we had today and enjoy a lovely dinner.

Sunday January 19th

We head up to the mountains today to explore Doi Inthanon National Park. Discover a few hidden gems, have lunch along the way and enjoy a gentle hike for a couple of hours. We will stop at at one of the hill tribe villages today as well.

This evening we will experience the Sunday Night Walking Street, which is a bustling market where many locals bring their handmade goods to sell. It is busy and lots of fun. We will try lots of great street food for our dinner!

Monday January 20th

Today is a free day for you to enjoy. If there is something you wish to do we will assist you in any way we can. You can enjoy a spa treatment, explore the old city, or just relax and enjoy lunch by the pool.

Tonight we have our final dinner at the stunning Dhara Dhevi hotel where we also enjoy a traditional music and dance show.

Tuesday January 21st

We say our goodbyes.
